MOC3021 Optoisolator Triac Driver Output – DIP6

The MOC3021 is Triac driver device with optical isolation. These devices contain a GaAs infrared emitting diode and a light activated silicon bilateral switch, which functions like a Triac. Their design is such that they are able to interface electronic controls and power Triacs to control resistive and inductive loads for High VAC operations. They have a peak blocking voltage of 400V. Also they have high isolation of 600V.
